Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026 · Updated October 15, 2026
Bot Warz (“we”, “us”) is a free browser game at botwarz.com. This policy explains what we collect when you play, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details. Everyone gets an anonymous guest account automatically. If you choose to sign in with Google or email, we store your email address and sign-in method.
- Game profile. Your player name, robot design, credits, parts, ratings and lifetime game statistics.
- Match records. Results of matches you play: mode, placement, knockouts, damage, rewards, and the names of the other players.
- Basic usage. Which days you play, whether you’re on a phone or a computer, and aggregate counts such as daily players and matches. We use these to understand how the game is doing.
- Page analytics. When you visit our pages we count the page, the website that linked to us (for example, a search engine), any campaign tags in the link, and whether you’re on a phone or a computer. These are anonymous totals: no cookies, no identifiers and no cross-site tracking.
- Error reports. If the game hits an error or your controls stop responding, it sends a short technical report: the error message, the arena and game state at the time, your browser version and whether you launched it from your home screen. Reports contain no account details and are deleted after 30 days.
- Technical data. Your IP address is used briefly to prevent abuse (for example, limiting connections), and appears in our server logs, which our hosting provider keeps for a limited period.
We don’t sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
On your device
The game stores your settings, sign-in session and an offline copy of your progress in your browser’s local storage, and caches game files so it can load faster and work offline.
Who processes it
Bot Warz runs on Google Firebase and Google Cloud (authentication, database, hosting and game servers) in the United States. If you sign in with Google, Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy.
What other players see
Your player name, robot and match results are visible to players you play against. If you qualify for the leaderboard, your player name, robot name and rating are public. Your email address is never shown to other players.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time from the account screen in the game (tap your name on the main menu). This permanently deletes your profile, stats and match history, and removes your name from past match records.
- Play without giving us an email address by staying a guest.
- Clear your browser’s site data to remove what’s stored on your device.
Children
Bot Warz is suitable for all ages but isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information such as email addresses from them. If you believe a child has created an account with an email address, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the game.
