Bot Warz FAQ

Answers to common questions about the free browser robot fighting game.

Is Bot Warz free?

Yes, completely. There are no ads and nothing to buy with real money. Every part and paint job is unlocked with credits you earn by playing.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. Bot Warz runs instantly in a modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) on phones, tablets and computers. You can optionally add it to your home screen to launch it full screen like an app.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Bot Warz is built for phones first, with a touch joystick and big weapon buttons, in portrait or landscape. It also works on tablets and Chromebooks.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Open Play online, create a private 1v1 or 4-way room, and share the four-letter code or invite link. You can also jump into a quick match against other players.

Do I need an account?

No. You start playing immediately as a guest, and your progress saves automatically. Create a free account with Google or email to keep your robot and stats across devices.

What happens if there aren’t enough players online?

Quick matches fill empty seats with CPU robots after a few seconds, so you always get a fight. CPU robots are clearly labelled.

How do online ratings and the leaderboard work?

Public online matches against other people are rated. You gain more for beating stronger players. After 5 rated matches you appear on the leaderboard. Private rooms and matches against only CPU bots are unrated.

What are the controls?

Arrow keys or WASD to drive, X or Space for your front weapon, Z for the back weapon, C for the turret, V for defense and R for the rear view. On touch screens, drag on the left side to drive and tap the buttons on the right. Gamepads are supported too.

How do I win a fight?

Destroy your opponent, or push them off an open edge or into a pit for an instant win. If time runs out, the robot with the most armour left wins.

What arenas are there?

5: Rooftop, Parking Deck, Scrapyard, Factory Floor, Frozen Lake. Each has its own hazards, like a crusher, conveyor belts into a shredder, ramps between two levels, or slippery ice. See the arenas page for details.

What is the daily challenge?

Once a day everyone gets the same scenario: one arena, a fixed robot loadout, the same rivals and a rule twist. Your first try and first win each day pay bonus credits, and signed-in players compete for the day’s top score.

Can I record or share my fights?

Yes. After any fight, tap Save replay clip to turn the last few seconds into a vertical video you can share or save. You can also share a robot card with your loadout and record from the garage.

Can I play offline?

After your first visit, solo modes load even without a connection. Online play and account syncing need the internet.

Is Bot Warz related to Robot Rage?

Bot Warz is an independent, modern browser game inspired by the Miniclip-era rooftop robot fighters, including Robot Rage. It isn’t an official Robot Rage game.

How do I delete my account?

Tap your name on the main menu, then “Delete my account and data”. This permanently removes your profile, stats and match history. See our privacy policy for details.
