Bot Warz Lagging? How to Make It Run Smoothly
Bot Warz runs smoothly on most phones and computers, and it adjusts its graphics automatically. If it still feels laggy, it’s usually one of three things.
1. Hardware acceleration is turned off
If the game shows a red note saying your browser isn’t using your graphics card, the browser is drawing the 3D scene with your processor instead of your graphics chip. That’s 10 to 50 times slower. This is common on work and school computers.
- Chrome: Settings › System › turn on “Use graphics acceleration when available”, then click Relaunch.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings › System and performance › turn on “Use graphics acceleration when available”, then restart Edge.
- Firefox: Settings › General › Performance › untick “Use recommended performance settings” and tick “Use hardware acceleration when available”.
- Safari always uses hardware acceleration.
To check, type chrome://gpu (or edge://gpu) in the address bar. Under WebGL you want “Hardware accelerated”, not “Software only”. On managed work computers this setting may be locked by your IT department.
2. Graphics quality is too high for your computer
Open the ⚙ settings on the main menu. Auto (the default) watches your frame rate and lowers shadows, resolution and effects until the game runs smoothly. If you prefer a fixed setting, Low is the fastest. Turn on Show frame rate to see how it’s doing; 50 to 60 frames per second is ideal.
Other things that help: close other heavy tabs and apps, plug in your laptop (battery saver slows graphics), and keep your browser and graphics drivers up to date.
3. It’s your connection, not your computer
If movement looks smooth but your robot responds late in online matches, that’s network delay. The number in the top-left corner during an online match is your ping: under 80 ms is great, and above 150 ms you’ll feel it. Use a stronger Wi-Fi signal or a wired connection. VPNs and some workplace networks add delay. Solo modes are unaffected, because they run entirely on your device.
