How the Power Axe works

Press the button to swing a hammer down in front of you. After a short wind-up it hits everything in a narrow arc just ahead for heavy damage and a knockback, then needs a second to reset.

Mounts on: Front (X). On phones, tap the matching on-screen button.

Tips

• Start the swing a moment before contact; the hit lands about a fifth of a second after you press.
• The arc is narrow, so line up head-on before swinging.
• In a 4-way brawl one swing can catch two robots if they’re fighting each other.

Counters

Daggers knock you away before the swing lands, and side attacks dodge the narrow arc.

Grenade Launcher, Force Field, Oil Spreader.
