Front mountHotkey: launches robots into the air. Brutal near edges and ledges.

How the Flipper works

A hinged steel plate across your nose. Press the button and a pneumatic ram kicks it up, launching whatever is in front of you into the air. Heavier robots fly less far. The flip itself only scratches the paint; the landing, the ledge or the open edge does the rest.

Mounts on: Front (X). On phones, tap the matching on-screen button.

Tips

• Flip toward an open edge or a pit and the robot often never lands on the arena at all.
• On Parking Deck, flipping someone off the side of the raised deck drops them a full level, and that landing hurts.
• A flipped robot can’t steer until it lands, so follow up while it’s in the air.

Counters

A Force Field cuts the launch height, and staying away from edges makes a flip mostly harmless.
