Defense mountHotkey: a second of huge speed. Ram harder, or escape.

How the Nitro Boost works

Press for about a second of rocket-assisted speed: much higher top speed and acceleration, pushing you forward even if you weren’t touching the throttle. It has four charges per fight.

Mounts on: Defense (V). On phones, tap the matching on-screen button.

Tips

• Line up first, then boost. A ram at nitro speed hits much harder than a normal one.
• It’s also an escape: boost out of a claw’s reach or away from a crusher.
• Don’t boost toward an open edge; on ice especially, you won’t stop in time.

Counters

Glue kills the run-up, and a Flipper or Rolling Pin punishes a straight-line charge.
